Stairway To Heaven is a must to learn. I am a former Bass player in a variety / wedding band. In the last 3 years, I have worked on the classical guitar. It is a blast learning all the chord forms, and my song list that I now perform is ever growing, and I sing / play mostly standards, but lately have gotten into classic rock.
Stairway to Heaven. This arrangement is almost perfect! I love the entire thing up towards the ending. I was so disappointed that the solo wasnt included within this arrangement, towards the end of the song. I love that part and hoped to play it. Otherwise though this is a fairly easy and great version for those who want to learn this song!!

When Stairway was released on Led Zeppelin IV in 1971, I learned the opening and the now iconic guitar solo. The rub lies within what playing your version of such a cliche and overplayed riff in a music store has come to stand for. It also got some jokingly bad press in a movie, which probably didn’t help matters!
Yes. “Stairway To Heaven” was, and still is, an incredibly popular song. Its full eight minutes still gets played on the radio, unlike some songs that had to endure “radio edits” to even be considered for airplay. For all the flak it has received (including “No Stairway” via Wayne’s World ), it stands out as one of the most
ycPs.
