RF24-105mm F4 L IS USM. Compact, High-quality Lens with Broad Zoom Range for the EOS R System. Bright, Constant f/4 Zoom Lens. First L Series Lens with NANO USM. Control Ring for Direct Setting Changes. Optical Image Stabilization at up to 5 Stops* of Shake Correction. 12 pin Communication System.
It is outperforms almost every aspect from any previous 24-105 lens that Canon ever make. - The sharpness is as sharp as 24-70 F2.8 II. - Five stops IS. - Auto focus very fast (even slightly faster than 24-70 ii) - and it doesn't have to use adapter in EOS R. Using adapter just make EOS R feel front heavy in my hand.

The Canon RF 24-105mm and the RF 24-240mm are two standard kit lenses that Canon bundles with their Eos Rp camera. Choosing the right lens is always more important because it’s the lens’s functionality and performance that decide the final image quality more than a camera body does. In most cases, the lens is a much more crucial investment.

Coming from a Nikkor 24-120 f/4, I switched it to a Sigma 24-105 f/4 and was impressed. The difference was quite visible, especially after fine-tuning with the USB dock. It is sharper especially at 70mm and up (the Nikkor suffered noticeably wide open), and above all had quite a bit more contrast.
Verdict. Regarding its equivalent zoom range (39-168mm) on an APS-C DSLR the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 USM L IS may not be the most sexy lens here but its performance figures are very impressive nonetheless. In fact the resolution results beat those from the EF 24-70mm f/2.8 USM L and match the EF 28-70mm f/2.8 USM L with its much more conservative
kSED0.
